Major, Trombone performance; Minor, Education.
Studied music at Muskingum
College, U. S. Army Band Training Unit and Berklee School of Music
(as it was named at that time).
Studied applied trombone with Douglas Haigwood, Joe Bennett, John Coffey, Joseph Oroscz, Davis Schuman and John
Clark.

Conducting History:
While a high-school senior, constructed, wrote music for and conducted "Prunella's Picture Book", a single
presentation by the Youth Group at Thompson Methodist Church on Wheeling Island.
While attending Muskingum College, conducted the Ulster Club Chorus and the Brown Chapel Choir. Also formed, wrote
music for and conducted the Ulster Quartette which performed Barbershop and Four Freshmen arrangements.
